Rafael Nadal is safely through to the third round at Wimbledon after surviving a four-set scare against Lukas Rosol, the big Czech who dumped him out of the tournament at the same stage two years ago. But how does a championship contender relax after a high-pressure match? Simple: do what any other bloke would love to do – play a bit of footy with the kids.
Raf, like many players, has rented a house just a few minutes’ walk away from the All England Club, a place where he can relax and be at home. And when he is not training, practising, playing, eating or sleeping – or watching the World Cup on TV – he likes to have a kickabout with Uncle Toni’s kids. Sometimes he even lets them have the ball (he’s quite good at footy, is Rafa).
