We are a close-knit team of four friends who, having failed miserably to get a real job, have made our living from covering professional tennis. Between us, we have over a century of experience on the tour (we were child brides, obviously) and so can remember those halcyon days when Andre Agassi had hair and Pete Sampras had a double-handed backhand. We can even recall the time when Rafa Nadal was a seven stone weakling – it was June 3, 1986, the day he was born and some of us had tears in our eyes (particularly his mother). The workload at TenniShorts is divided evenly between us: Susan and Fred take the pictures and Sandy and Alix write the words. Our aim is to give you a different view of the tennis world, to give you a peek behind the scenes at the big events and to introduce you to the characters who make the sport exciting, intriguing and, at times, exasperating (tennis world beware: we are watching you).Take a look, leave us a comment, and follow us as we boldly go where no tennis journalists have gone before (and then wait less than patiently for our luggage to catch up with us).
