Tiger Tim bares his fangs at Andy Murray

So Andy Murray thinks he is the king of keepy-uppy – pah! Dame Timothy Henry Henman has news for him. Tiger Tim, once the kitten of the ATP Tour, has roared in the jungle that is the BBC’s Copa-Uppy contest. And he is gloating. Oh, my, is he gloating.

The Muzz knocked spots off everyone in the competition, beating famous football pros from far and wide and making many a BBC commentator, pundit and specialist look like a complete chump. And then Tiger Tim was given his chance. Not only did he flatten Rafa Nadal – and that was a first for man who, in his playing days, was squished twice by Raf when the Spanish toreador was still in his teens – but he overtook the Muzz on the leader board. Blimey.

It has to be said that Dame T is very much a one footed player (unlike the Muzz) and that had shown the same focus and determination when he was playing tennis as he did when he was trying to beat Muzz at keepy-uppy, he might have had a better career. But he didn’t. And he didn’t. Oh, well…. And wait until Muzza sees that Dame T has beaten his score. This could all end in tears….
